At Architectural Traditions, we can help you select the right species of wood for your particular purpose. All of the softwood and hardwood species we offer can be used for interior applications. For the exterior, if the product is protected from direct sunlight and moisture, all species will perform. If the product will be used in unprotected exposures, then we would recommend our wirebrushed incense cedar or mahogany. Both woods are known for their durability and dimensional stability with minimal expansion and contraction. With proper finishing and maintenance, these woods will hold up well in tough environments.
